Chariot SC20 — Commercial Floor Scrubber
The Chariot SC20 was developed through a year-long, observation-based research effort focused on real-world use conditions in commercial cleaning environments. User needs around intuitive use, ergonomics, and maneuverability were identified early, establishing a clear foundation for design decisions and value-added innovation.

The project involved close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex requirements, including advanced surface modeling, tight packaging constraints, and extensive design-for-manufacturing across rotational molding, injection molding, vacuum forming, sheet metal fabrication, and electronics integration..
The final product exceeded cost and performance targets, advanced to pilot production, and received an innovation award at an industry trade show.

Divert-it — Ergonomic Package Handling Solution

Divert-it was developed under an accelerated timeline with a strong emphasis on ergonomics, manufacturability, and speed to market. Early physical mockups and rapid prototyping were used to evaluate grip, motion, and user comfort, allowing design decisions to be validated quickly and efficiently..
The final design prioritized manufacturing efficiency through a modular approach that reduced tooling cost and inventory complexity while maintaining durability for demanding industrial environments..

Divert-it met production schedule and cost targets and is now successfully in use by one of the nation’s largest shippers.
Roto-Loc™ — Housing For Retracting Lanyard (Fall Protection)
Roto-Loc™ involved collaboration with an internal engineering and design team to develop the external housing for a retractable fall protection device used in regulated, safety-critical environments. The focus of the work was the durability, usability, and professional appearance of the housing while integrating tightly around an existing internal mechanism.

The design was developed through iterative CAD, prototyping, and refinement to meet internal durability requirements and align with applicable regulatory standards managed by the client’s engineering team.
The final housing was qualified for internal and regulatory standards, moved into manufacturing, and achieved successful market adoption.

Proxess Electronic Access Hardware — Cylindrical Lockset & Reader Platform

Proxess is an electronic access control company providing integrated hardware solutions for commercial and educational environments. This collaboration focused on the mechanical development of a new cylindrical lockset and a series of credential readers, designed to integrate with existing electronics and network systems..
